The iscape small business server
iscape is a small business groupware suite which integrates
- sharing files,
- calendaring,
- address books,
- printing and
- email.
It's been designed by WEC UK based on the principles of security and sustainability
Design principles
By security, we mean that we strive to make iscape as secure out-of-the-office as in the office. All iscape's services are encrypted, and users must present a valid SSL certificate issued by the iscape server to even connect, before they can attempt to log in.
By sustainability, we mean that we have designed iscape for organisations who do not have a day-to-day Unix administrator, and so the day-to-day administration is made as simple as possible; however, when a Unix admin can be called in, we do not want to require them to learn yet another system. iscape is not a system that needs specific experience; it is an integration of common Unix components.
